Your Italian Connection in Cambodia!

Welcome to ItaCham, Bormey.

ItaCham is happy to welcome to the team Ms. Ung Khemara Bormeychan as new administrative assistant.

About Bormey: Bormey is an undergraduate student pursuing two degrees: one in Accounting and Finance at CamEd Business School, and one in International Economics at the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy.

She was a YSEALI fellow for the YSEALI Academic Spring Fellowship 2024 at the University of Texas Austin, focusing on Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. She also served as co-president of university clubs and was involved in Cambodian youth-led groups. Aside from this, she participated in international events in the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam as part of the fellowship program, which allowed her to expand her international network and enjoy her journey as an undergraduate student.

In an article for the Kiripost, when talking about exchange programs, Bormey said: “Most students from the provinces do not apply for exchange programmes because they think they might fail, but I don’t want them to think that way. It’s okay to fail. I also failed, but I learned from that, so I want them to do it like me too.”

Besides her academic endeavors and her extracurricular experience, she is currently a campus ambassador for KPMG Cambodia.

Also, Bormey is very passionate about public speaking and debates. As proof of this, she has been selected and invited to serve as an adjudicator and speaker for some significant events in Cambodia, allowing her to give international presentations/pitches in the United States, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, and Vietnam.

She is joining ItaCham team as an admin assistant apprentice, where she will work closely with the board of the Italian Business Chamber Cambodia (ItaCham). This will offer her the opportunity to be exposed to the real-world of working while pursuing her two degrees and developing both her personal and professional sides.

Welcome to ItaCham, Bormey!
