Sunday Ride: A Celebration of Italian Style, Friendship, and Passion in the Heart of Phnom Penh

On Sunday 9th March 2025, the streets of Phnom Penh were filled with the timeless elegance of Italian motorbikes as Lambretta and Vespa owners came together for a special Sunday Ride. Organized by ItaCham, the Italian National Chapter of EuroCham Cambodia, the event was a joyful gathering of passionate riders who appreciate the heritage, craftsmanship, and lifestyle embodied by these iconic Italian brands.

The day began at Segafredo Zanetti Caffè in BKK1, where participants met for a light breakfast and a classic Italian coffee before setting off on their journey. The ride first took them along Phnom Penh’s scenic riverside, offering a unique perspective of the city from behind the handlebars of these stylish motorbikes. The first stop was the iconic Independence Monument, where riders took a group photo to commemorate the event. From there, the journey continued towards Koh Pich, adding a dynamic urban element to the ride, before making its way to the Lambretta showroom in Chbar Ampov. Here, riders took a well-earned break, enjoyed refreshments generously provided by Lambretta, and captured more memories of this fantastic gathering.

The event concluded in true Italian fashion at Bellini Bistro Italiano, where participants came together for a traditional aperitivo and a delicious lunch. It was a time to share stories, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the strong cultural ties between Italy and Cambodia. More than just a ride, this event was a reflection of the Italian way of life—where style, passion, and social connection play a central role.

Vespa and Lambretta have long been symbols of freedom, craftsmanship, and elegance, representing Italy’s rich history in design and engineering. Similarly, Italian coffee culture is built on the idea of bringing people together, making every gathering more than just a moment, but an experience. This Sunday Ride perfectly embodied these values, bridging two cultures through a shared appreciation for beauty, lifestyle, and community.

As Phnom Penh, the Pearl of Southeast Asia, provided a stunning backdrop, the event was a great success—fun, safe, and memorable for all involved. ItaCham extends its gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and supporters who made this gathering possible. We look forward to more opportunities to bring people together and celebrate the best of Italian and Cambodian culture. Until the next ride, let’s keep the spirit of friendship and passion alive!
