Cambodian Librarians Association (CLA) is a national, non-profit professional association founded in 1998 to strengthen libraries and librarianship in Cambodia in line with regional and international standards.
CLA serves librarians, information professionals, libraries, and partner institutions nationwide through professional development, information and digital literacy, reading and knowledge promotion, and institutional capacity building. Through training programs, partnerships, and policy engagement, the association supports libraries as essential infrastructure for education, workforce readiness, research, and lifelong learning.
Working with government bodies, universities, NGOs, and international partners, CLA is also engaged in emerging areas such as ethical information practices, AI literacy, and responsible technology use. Through collaboration with ItaCham and its Education Pillar, CLA seeks to contribute to education advocacy, skills development, and sustainable, knowledge-based growth in Cambodia.
