On Monday 17th March, Soundskool, and the Italian Business Chamber Cambodia (ItaCham) had the privilege of visiting Avintave ODV, an honorary member of ItaCham, to participate in their efforts to support underprivileged children in Phnom Penh. SoundsKool members assisted in serving breakfast to children before their school day began and donated a delicious sponge cake, bringing joy to the young students.
Avintave ODV is an Italian-founded non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to improving the lives of children in Cambodia. Their mission focuses on combating school dropout rates and malnutrition by providing nutritious meals and creating a nurturing educational environment. Their latest achievement includes the establishment of a 300 m² cafeteria at the Hun Neang Boeng Trabaek Khang Koeut Primary School, which now serves 125 children daily. As an honorary member of ItaCham, Avintave ODV represents the deep connection between Italy and Cambodia, showcasing how the two nations collaborate to foster positive change. In addition to ItaCham’s involvement, SoundsKool, a music education institution in Cambodia, funded by ItaCham Chairman, Gabriele Faja, and member of ItaCham, is currently discussing ways to support Avintave in bringing music education to the children. This potential collaboration aims to enrich students’ learning experiences through creative expression, fostering both cognitive and social development.
